Welcome Welcome to the website of the Guilford Republican Town Committee. As the chairman of the RTC, I encourage you to use this site to learn more about both the RTC and Guilford's town government. I hope you will join us as we continue the long-standing Republican tradition of providing prudent, efficient and effective Town government.
We like to think that the very character of Guilford, which is our most treasured resource, is due largely to Republican Administrations that had the wisdom to preserve, nurture and protect our heritage and quality of life. Our elected officials endeavor to:
I urge Guilford Republicans to become more involved in our Town Government. I would especially like to see greater involvement of our younger citizens to broaden the Republican presence in Guilford. Serving on elected and appointed Boards and Commissions is a privilege. I invite you to join the Guilford Republican Party Team at any level. We have openings on the town committee, various boards and commissions. Or you can simply register as a Republican voter.
I thank those individuals already serving in these capacities who have devoted time and energy for the betterment of our town and the lives of its residents.
Under the trusted management of First Selectman Joe Mazza, Guilford is invigorated with dynamic leadership in the Town Hall. Selectmen Cindy Cartier and Charles Havrda add their foresight and experience to round out a Republican majority on the Board.
Come to the next Republican Town Committee Meeting to meet the elected officials who are implementing their vision for a vibrant future for Guilford. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at the Nathanael Greene Community Center, 32 Church Street at 7:00 PM or call me at 203-204-2507.
Sincerely,
Earl J. Swan III, Chairman
Republican Town Committee
Guilford is known for its wonderful quality of life, excellence in education and great tradition of volunteerism. None of these attributes could be achieved without citizens on our town committees contributing their time and talents serving on elected or appointed boards or commissions.
One of Connecticut's oldest communities, Guilford offers many opportunities for visitors, residents and business owners. Whether it is boating on Long Island Sound, hiking our open space trails, or shopping around the Green, there is something for everyone. Guilford is a vibrant community. We strongly encourage new economic development and work diligently to retain our current businesses.
There are many opportunities to serve our town and I encourage anyone to get involved who has the time and desire to preserve our past and foster our growth.
