Thank you for visiting our web site.
We could not be happier with your decision. As Chairman of the Republican Town Committee (RTC), the organization that represents our Party here in Guilford, we first and foremost welcome you!
We hope you have an opportunity to review our “Mission Statement” and “Who We Are” Whether you are new to town or just new to our party, we think you will soon learn that much of Guilford’s rich history and governance over the last 150 plus years has been under Republican leadership. With the exception of perhaps 14 years in all, Republicans have been the majority party in Guilford. We like to think that the very character of Guilford, our most treasured resource, is due largely to Republican administrations that had the foresight and wisdom to preserve, nurture and protect our Town.
Virtually every aspect of our local government involves volunteers. We are proud to inform you that Guilford’s RTC is at the forefront of recruiting volunteers, some elected, some appointed, to serve on a myriad of Boards, Commissions, Committees and Agencies. If you have any questions or any interest in how our community governs, I invite you to contact myself or any other member of the RTC to learn more about us and our Town.
If you are interested in becoming involved with our party, you are welcome and invited to join us at one of our monthly meetings to hear more about how the Republican Party is serving Guilford. We meet the third Thursday of each month, at 7:00PM, at the Community Center located on Church St.
You will have a chance to meet some of our elected officials, hear the latest news on what is happening on the various Boards that operate your Town, or simply meet some like minds folks. Occasionally, especially in December, our monthly meeting might be cancelled or re-scheduled to a different location so we recommend you contact us in advance to confirm a specific meeting before joining us.
